Joe will be leading the next session with a fabulous Hollywood theme. We’ll be transforming the Hebden Bridge Town Hall into Tinsel Town by creating exciting original movie ideas and then performing the key scenes. A playful workshop with drama games, tricks and tips for the screenwriting world and plenty of laughs.

Please bring a friend, open to all ages and accessible to all.  Workshops cost £5

Joe Standerline

Dramatist, actor and director.  An experienced workshop facilitator who works with schools, excluded young people, and community groups. He achieved hisMA in Screenwriting at Liverpool John Moores University (distinction) in 2004. Joe is a founder member of the Splinter Active Theatre Company, which has built up a repertoire of over 50 original productions. He adapts novels into stage plays for Oxford University Press, Heinemann and Harcourt Education and was commissioned by OUP to write a collection of original plays for GCSE Drama. His adaptation of Stone Cold has been adopted as a set text for GCSE Drama by the Welsh Exam Board.

Joe is also a professional actor and has appeared in numerous productions for stage & T.V. including Shameless, Clocking Off & Hollyoaks. He played Tin Man in the 2008 Lowry Production of the Wizard of Oz along side Judy Garland’s daughter, Lorna Luft. Joe writes professional pantomime scripts, produced with all-star casts. Joe supports the Calder Valley Performance Ensemble, creating unique theatre work with older performers.
