Memories and Melodies at the Victoria Theatre

From Neil Hurst
Each christmas I take the role of the comic in the Halifax Victoria Theatre pantomime and while having a conversation with the management I became aware that the theatre actually doesn’t provide anything for older, retired audiences and one of the main forms of entertainment requested by the audiences is something for older people who don’t want to go to the theatre at night but want some sort of entertainment during the day. So along with the Victoria Theatre we got our heads together and will be presenting the first of what will hopefully be many, matinee shows for retired and older audiences. the show is called MEMORIES AND MELODIES and is going to be starring TV Comedian JIMMY CRICKET, i will be hosting and we have a full company of other variety acts including Sam Lane, comedy magician and 2009 Britain’s Got Talent Semi Finalist.
MEMORIES AND MELODIES
THE VICTORIA THEATRE, HALIFAX
WEDNESDAY 25th MARCH 2015 – 2.00pm
BOX OFFICE – 01422 351158
Tickets are £14.50 but we have a group deal if bringing more than 10, making each seat just £12.50 and free seats for carers. The theatre also has excellent disabled access and plenty of wheelchair spaces.
Like i said, if it is successful, this will be the first of what we hope will be many matinee shows for retired audiences in Calderdale, hopefully providing something for local older audiences who do not want to go out on an evening.
