Classes for the over-50s in Southowram and Bank Top just got bigger and better!

Starting on Monday 5th September for 8 weeks, 2 new classes will be taking place at Southowram Community Centre. From 1.00 -2.30pm, there will be a Visual Arts class, covering a whole range of activities and suitable for both beginners and those more experienced. This will be followed by the famous Neighbourhood Schemes cuppa. Tai Chi commences at 3 o’clock  for gentle exercise until 4.00pm.

But this is not all, for on Thursdays, again for 8 weeks, at St Anne in the Grove Community Room, Kurling and Wii will take place from 1.00 – 2.00pm. Refreshments follow and then Dancing from 2.30 – 3.30pm. The Dance sessions run the gamut from line to ballroom, so don’t worry if you haven’t got a partner.

If you have any questions, or would like any further information, then contact the Neighbourhood Schemes Team on 01422 393704, or e-mail nst.admin@calderdale.gov.uk

Each class costs £2.50 per session, payable on the day, and is suitable for all abilities. However, we would advise you to consult your doctor if you have any doubts about your ability to undertake physical exercise.
