Looking after your breast health – session in Illingworth

LA Group and Bradford Teaching Hospitals invite you to an informal session:

LOOKING AFTER YOUR BREAST HEALTH

 Illingworth Moor Methodist Church

Tuesday, 18th September 2012 starting at 2 pm

This informal session provides an opportunity to learn about breast health and breast screening. The session covers:

  • the signs and changes to look for
  • the breast screening programme
  • breast cancer risk factors
  • breast health awareness for women and men

Duration: 1 Hour 30 Minutes

Women’s information meeting at Queen’s Road Neighbourhood Centre

Sisters Shout! A group for lesbian and bisexual women

On the last Tuesday of each month a group of lesbian and bisexual women gather at WomenCentre, Silver Street, Halifax. We meet in a welcoming, safe and supportive women-only space…. sisters shhhOUT!

If you identify as lesbian, bisexual or are questioning your sexuality, feel free to come along for a cuppa, to voice some of your thoughts, feelings and views, to develop friendships, share and celebrate your unique strengths, engage in themed group discussions and activities.

The space focuses on well-being issues and offers advice, information, social opportunities, creative projects and one-to-one support sessions (by appointment).

Freedom Programme – for women affected by domestic abuse

The Freedom Programme is delivered at the WomenCentre Calderdale and is a weekly support group for women who want to learn more about the reality of domestic abuse and.

  • The daytime group will start again on Monday 9 January at 10am-12pm.
  • The evening group will start on Tuesday 10 January at 5.45pm-7.45pm .

The group runs on a 12 week rolling programme throughout the year (not school holidays).

We accept agency and self referrals and we also have limited childcare places available, please let us know your requirements as we may be able to help.
